Thirty-one ‘star designs’ at the 2017 Observeur du design Awards

Thirty-one designs have been given ‘star status’ in the 18th competition organized by the French Industrial Creation Promotion Agency (APCI), featuring a total of 137 participants this year.

Muriel Pénicaud, France’s Ambassador for International Investment and CEO of Business France, presided over the awards ceremony held on December 16, 2016 at the Cité de la Mode et du Design in Paris. The ceremony was a chance for various stakeholders in French industry and the design world to meet up and discuss the importance of design towards making distinctive products and contributing to economic growth.

The 31 selected ‘star designs’ are currently being exhibited until January 24 at the VIA Gallery in Paris, after which they will set off on a year-long exhibition tour both in France and abroad.
