With 140 countries and nearly 1,800 exhibitors in attendance, SIMA, the Paris International Agribusiness Show, is a decidedly international trade fair taking place from February 26 to March 2, 2017 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition center.
SIMA has 13 exhibition sectors (including SIMAGENA focusing on animal breeding) and attracted more than 230,000 visitors in 2015. The central theme of the trade fair, which is holding a number of seminars (African Summit, Dealer’s Day-Ting, etc.), is “Being a farmer in 10 years”, focusing more broadly on four major areas: digital agriculture, robotics, the bioeconomy and genomics.
France is the third largest European producer of agricultural equipment and the fifth largest global exporter. Agricultural machinery is a strategic sector of the French economy.
Business France, which is a key player in and partner of the SIMA trade fair. It is also holding a stand bringing together the entire agricultural equipment profession (Hall 5A G036), and will be at the show for all five days. The busy schedule includes:
- Invitations to buyers from five countries (Albania, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Iran, Ukraine). - The arrival of around twenty industry experts from the Business France Network and organizing meetings with French exhibitors and visitors.
- Welcoming foreign delegations to the International Club in partnership with the French agricultural equipment industry trade association AXEMA.
