The “Salon des Entrepreneurs”, organized for the last 25 years by French business daily “Les Echos”, opened its doors this morning at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. With more than a million visitors since the show began all those years ago, it is the largest gathering of entrepreneurs in Europe.
The two-day event is expected to attract 68,000 visitors – 40% are business leaders and 52% business creators – and will this year shine the spotlight on Senegal. It’s where everyone from budding entrepreneurs and startup founders to buyers and business leaders can meet to look at new trends, share best practice, obtain finance, and get ambitious projects off the ground.
Business France, one of the event’s key partners, will offer a practical workshop on international development on both days, as well as a plenary session on international business, which is sure to be one of the highlights of the show.
To coincide with this unique event, Business France is also releasing a new “Entrepreneurship Scoreboard” publication. Divided into two parts, it aims not only to demonstrate France’s entrepreneurial momentum by offering comparative analysis of performance indicators in five key areas (including growth, finance, and innovation), but also to highlight entrepreneurs and their spirit of enterprise through international success stories recounted by various French business leaders.
