The country’s inaugural ‘Art de Vivre à la française’ design event, showcasing French culture and the concept of French Art of Living through luxury furniture, decoration and lighting, will be held from March 8-10, 2017. The event has been organized by Business France in response to growing international interest in French design.
After the first successful international run in Shanghai last year, Singapore was the next natural choice for ‘Art de Vivre à la française’. Singapore is an attractive and vibrant lifestyle hub in south-east Asia, with many Singaporeans enthusiastic about design trends and new experiences.
The Singapore market has always been important for Business France, which has helped more than 40 French brands enter the market since 2014. French exports of furniture and lighting to Singapore have risen 36% in the last five years, and France is now the 10th largest foreign provider in the sector. Overall French goods exports are also strong, making France Singapore’s 9th largest overseas supplier.
‘Art de Vivre à la française’ will showcase French cultural heritage and the concept of French Living Art from March 8-10, 2017. Luxury brands such as Christofle, Laguiole, Charles Paris and Pierre Frey will all be represented.
