French entrepreneur Loïc Le Meur held a two-day event this week in Paris (April 11-12, 2017) for key influencers, startups, VC investors, media and rising stars in the Tech world.
Le Meur is a leading web pioneer and long established Business Angel (with investments in around sixty startups), after having founded no fewer than six startups himself, and has drawn on all his experiences to make Leade.rs a thriving showcase for new tech talent. With a team of 10 people, he recently raised US$3.2 million from 52 shareholders to establish this new platform for speakers and events, which he hopes will bring greater transparency to the sector.
Around a thousand participants, including key influencers from Silicon Valley, explored a variety of current technological developments at the event, which was particularly important for the French Tech ecosystem, represented by leading figures such as Frédéric Mazzella from BlaBlaCar, Henri Seydoux from Parrot and Quentin Sannié from Devialet. Other speakers included Roxanne Varza (Station F), Phil Libin (Evernote), Marie Ekeland (Daphni), and Barbara Belvisi (Hardware Club).
VC investors got to meet current and future stars in the tech world, with a series of question/answer sessions and one-to-one meetings, and also caught up on the latest developments in the sector, from virtual reality to artificial intelligence, chatbots to connected homes, and driverless vehicles to e-health, among others.
