This year’s Fintech 100 report has just been published, with five innovative French startups featuring on the list, three more than in 2016. They include lending platform Lendix, health insurance provider Alan, business bank account specialist Qonto, mobile payment service Lydia and payroll management company Payfit.
The report was carried out by consultants KPMG and the Australian investment firm H2 Ventures. It shows that fintechs are growing in number and confirms just how dynamic French entrepreneurs are becoming.
Europe secured 41 out of the 100 places in the rankings (featuring eight companies from the UK and five from Germany). However, the leading country was China which, with nine fintechs, remains the global leader for financial startups.
