French delegation talks innovation at METSTRADE 2017

Ninety French companies exhibited from November 14-16, 2017 at METSTRADE, the marine equipment show held in Amsterdam. In the Business France pavilion were an ever-increasing number of companies whose vitality and French expertise have placed them at the cutting edge of technology.

These French companies going global come in all shapes and sizes, from well-established businesses to fledgling firms, but they are all driven by innovation. Their R&D expertise attracts distributors, buyers and technical managers from shipyards around the world. Many of them are regularly rewarded for their innovations, with Carenecolo and SNA having been nominated for the DAME Awards, the METSTRADE innovation competition, where they received a special mention from the judging panel.

France is the world’s leading producer of sailing boats and catamarans, and is ranked fourth for motorboat manufacturers. It is also the European leader in the coastal and river boat rental market.

With the support of the French Nautical Industries Federation (FIN), the companies chosen by Business France exhibited for two days in a 1,212 sq. m. space located in Halls 1 and 5 at the RAI conference center.
