The second “Rencontres Africa” event, supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry for the Economy and Finance, is taking place in Abidjan, Nairobi and Tunis. It follows the 2016 event held in Paris, attended by 1,500 African and French businesses.
A total of 250 French and 1,500 African companies are taking part in this year’s business forum, comprising conferences, workshops and B2B meetings being held over four days in three different cities (Abidjan on October 2-3, Tunis and Nairobi on October 5-6).
Jean-Yves Le Drian, France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Daniel Kablan-Duncan, the Vice-President of Côte d’Ivoire, will officially open proceedings in Abidjan, while French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and Tunisian Head of Government Youssef Chahed will do so in Tunis. In all, nearly twenty-five ministers from African countries are due to attend.
Business France is a lead partner in Rencontres Africa 2017, organizing customized business meetings for nearly fifty French companies.
