The third annual London Craft Week took up residence in the capital on May 3-7, 2017, showcasing the very best British and international creativity and craftsmanship through a ‘beyond luxury’ journey of discovery.
French artistic and creative professions in association with the ongoing ‘Créative France’ campaign, the Institut Français, and the Institut National des Métiers d’Art were all represented at the exhibition through three ‘ambassadors’ of French excellence – leather-making with Serge Amoruso, umbrella-making with Michel Heurtault, and cufflink-making with Samuel Gassmann – at the St. James’s Market Pavilion.
The three French creators also took part in a debate at the French Institute of London during a round table run by Simon Crompton, founder of permanentstyle.com – one of the most influential European blogs in men’s fashion. This event was a chance to talk further about their expertise and vision of French artistic/creative professions and innovation.
