Agri NEST 2017: Business France looks for startups to break into the US market

Seven promising French startups will be taking part in this third immersion program in the United States, hoping to gain valuable insight into the American ecosystem, and adapt their solutions to local needs. Each of them has been handpicked by a panel of French and American experts who assessed their creativity, relevance to industry needs, business model strength, and team commitment.

The program kicks off on September 11, and will offer participants the opportunity through meetups and networking events to build and expand their professional network in the AgTech sector. The startups will spend their time in two Tech hubs, based in Saint Louis (Missouri) and San Francisco / Davis (California).

The Agri NEST initiative, created in 2015 by Business France, is an immersion program for innovative French startups and SMEs to help them enter the American agricultural technology market and meet up with AgTech companies as well as investors in Silicon Valley. The program has already proved its worth: 50% of alumni have set up business, or are in the process of establishing themselves in the United States, while 80% have signed partnerships with American companies or universities.
